What Is Traditional Chinese Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient therapy which aims to rebalance the body's meridians (energy channels), relax muscles and increase the amount of endorphins (pain relieving chemicals). In this way, acupuncture can stimulate both physical and emotional healing.
Fine disposable needles are inserted into acupuncture points in the skin. These points lie along meridians or lines of energy and can be left in place for 20 to 40 minutes. When the needle is inserted, you may experience tingling or a dull ache known as the Qi energy, necessary to bring about the healing process.
The holistic nature of Chinese medicine addresses the cause of your problem, looking at your body as a complete system rather than separate parts.
Practice Hours: 8am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday & 9am to 12noon Saturday
